The year 2007 takes eight place in its warmth since they first kept track--back in the year 1895. The average annual temperature is 54.3 degrees Fahrenheit; but that is only in America. However for the worldwide temperature, it is the fifth warmest since the year 1880. In fact, in the United States February and April were the only two months that were cooler than average. March and August were actually warmer than usual, two of the warmest months in one hundred years. There have been serious drought conditions in the Southeast and west, most of which was from about July (midsummer) to December. This information will be updated in January, but for now it seems like 2007 is one of the warmest years in recorded history.
